These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of MyDoctorPoint at https://mydoctorpoint.com (the "Service"). By using the Service, booking a serial, or creating an account, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. What MyDoctorPoint is
MyDoctorPoint is a nationwide online serial (appointment) booking system for Bangladesh. Patients can find doctors and book a serial directly at the doctor's chamber in a hospital, clinic or diagnostic centre, without any broker or middleman.
MyDoctorPoint is a booking platform only. We do not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. All medical services are provided by the doctor and the hospital, who are fully responsible for them.
2. Booking is free, never pay a broker
- Booking a serial on MyDoctorPoint is completely free.
- Never pay anyone (compounder, broker, agent or any other person) for a serial. Nobody can sell you a MyDoctorPoint serial.
- The doctor's consultation fee is paid only at the hospital counter, directly to the hospital. MyDoctorPoint does not collect any fee at present.
- If anyone asks you for money for a serial, please report it to us (see section 17).
3. Not for emergencies
MyDoctorPoint is not an emergency service. In an emergency, call the national emergency service 999 or go to the nearest hospital emergency department immediately.
4. Who can use the Service
- You must give true and complete information about the patient (name, age, gender and mobile number).
- A parent or legal guardian should book for a patient under 18 years of age.
- You must use a mobile number that you own or are allowed to use. The serial is tied to that number.
5. Mobile verification (OTP)
Every booking is confirmed with a one-time password (OTP) sent by SMS. Do not share your OTP with anyone. Anyone who has your OTP can act for you on the Service. MyDoctorPoint staff will never ask for your OTP.
6. Booking rules
- One active appointment per mobile number per date. A mobile number can hold only one pending, confirmed or present appointment on a given date. You can book again on that date after the first appointment is completed or cancelled.
- Booking dates. Each doctor decides whether patients can book for today only or for future dates, how many patients they see per day, their visiting hours, weekly off days and leaves.
- Serial numbers can change. Serials form a queue. If a patient before you cancels or is absent, everyone after them moves up one place, so your serial number may become smaller. You can see your current serial on the "My appointment" page.
- Confirmation call. The hospital may call you to confirm that you are coming. If you say you are not coming, or if you are not present when the doctor starts the visit, your appointment may be cancelled and your serial given to the next patient.
- Arrive on time. Please arrive before the visiting time starts and show your booking reference, SMS or QR code at the counter.
- Automatic expiry. An appointment that is not completed or cancelled by the end of its date is cancelled automatically.
- Doctor's leave. If a doctor goes on leave, appointments on those days are cancelled and you are informed by SMS.
- Emergency patients and the doctor's own relatives. The doctor may see an emergency patient, or a close relative of their own, outside the online serial. This can make you wait longer, but it does not change your serial number or your place in the queue. Nobody may move ahead of the queue by paying money. If anyone asks for money to see the doctor earlier, please report it (see section 17).
7. Fees and payment
Consultation fees shown on MyDoctorPoint are provided by the doctor or hospital and may change. The amount charged at the hospital counter is final. Online payment may be offered in the future. If so, its terms will be shown before you pay.
8. Cancelling an appointment
You can cancel a pending or confirmed appointment from the "My appointment" page after verifying your mobile number. Once you have checked in at the hospital, only hospital staff can change the appointment.
9. Doctors and hospitals
- Every doctor's BMDC registration is checked by MyDoctorPoint before their profile is shown to patients. Doctors are responsible for keeping their profile, qualifications, fees, chambers and schedule correct.
- Hospitals, clinics and diagnostic centres are responsible for their own information, staff, services and fees. Hospital information may come from the public DGHS Facility Registry and may be updated by the hospital.
- The relationship for medical care is between the patient, the doctor and the hospital. MyDoctorPoint is not a party to it.
10. What you must not do
You must not:
- book serials to sell, transfer or reserve them for other people;
- use bots, scripts or any automated way to book, search or collect data;
- give false information or book with someone else's mobile number without permission;
- try to get around the human check, OTP or any security measure;
- interfere with, overload or attack the Service;
- harass doctors, hospital staff or other users.
We may cancel bookings, block mobile numbers or IP addresses, and report the matter to the authorities when we see misuse.
11. Staff and doctor accounts
Doctors, hospital administrators and receptionists must keep their login details secret. You are responsible for everything done with your account. Tell us immediately if you think your account has been misused.
12. Intellectual property
The MyDoctorPoint name, logo, design and software belong to MyDoctorPoint. Doctors and hospitals keep the rights to the content they provide and allow us to show it on the Service.
13. Availability of the Service
We work to keep the Service available and correct, but we cannot guarantee that it will always be free of errors or interruptions, or that a doctor will be available at the booked time. Doctors or hospitals may change or cancel a schedule for reasons outside our control.
14. Limitation of liability
To the extent allowed by law, MyDoctorPoint is not liable for any medical outcome, for the acts of doctors or hospitals, or for any indirect loss caused by using or not being able to use the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under the laws of Bangladesh.
15. Suspension
We may suspend or end access to the Service for anyone who breaks these Terms.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The date of the latest update is shown on this page. If you keep using the Service after a change, you accept the updated Terms.
17. Governing law and contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. Courts in Dhaka have jurisdiction.
